Gammara phinisi 30 m 12 guests specifications: the boat is 30 m long and 6 m wide, with 6 cabins for 12 guests, a dining lounge, a social deck and a paddle board. This page lists only what the 2026 brochure prints, and names the blanks.

Thirty by six metres, and nothing the brochure does not print

Gammara Phinisi measures 30 m by 6 m. In the brochure, the registration line reads KLM Gammara, GT 79. Printed. So we start there.

Power comes from a Mitsubishi eight-cylinder engine, with a Mitsubishi 4D30 generator of 22 kVA. The boat cruises at 8 to 12 knots and carries five thousand litres of fuel. The tender, a 7 m by 2 m speedboat on two 40 hp Yamaha outboards, runs guests from the anchorage to beaches and landing steps.

VVIP is the class we list the boat under, and it promises nothing beyond what the brochure prints. Each claim on this page goes back to a line of the 2026 brochure, and where one does not, the last section says so.

Capacity is 12 guests in 6 cabins. That is the ceiling for a private charter, and a larger party needs a second boat.

Twelve berths in six cabins, split across two decks

Two cabins upstairs, four below. Up top, Master Cabin Jasmine pairs a king bed with a panoramic ocean view, and Suite Cabin Lily a king bed with an ocean view. On the lower deck, the Deluxe cabins Ivy, Azalea, Hazel and Iris have a double bed each.

Each cabin takes two guests and has a private bathroom with a hot and cold shower, plus air conditioning. Six cabins of two is twelve berths, exactly the capacity. The brochure lists no extra bed.

A couple on a private charter has all six cabins, and the empty ones stay empty. On the open trip, a cabin is sold for two.

A lounge ringed with glass, and a social deck under the stars

Large windows run right round the dining lounge. Three meals a day are served there, and in between there is free-flowing coffee, tea and mineral water, with snacks and fruit.

Outside, the social area has nothing overhead but sky. The brochure lists it for gathering, yoga, entertainment, a small private event, a BBQ on board and a movie night. A paddle board is part of the boat's kit, along with snorkel gear, towels and life jackets.

Once the anchor is down and the engine has stopped, the deck is the best room aboard for an evening. Pack a layer. Over the water, once the sun has gone, the air turns cool far faster than most guests expect on their first evening.

Sky note. Which rail faces the sunset depends on the anchorage and the day. The brochure prints no bearing, so we state none.

Radar, VHF, two life rafts and a 7 m tender

Navigation: radar, an echo sounder, a GPS navigator, a VHF radio and a compass. Safety: two life rafts rated for fifteen people each, life buoys, life jackets, an oxygen tank, a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit.

Think of the tender as a taxi. It ferries you between the phinisi and the shore at Padar, at Komodo and on the sandbanks. Length 7 m, beam 2 m, two 40 hp Yamaha outboards.

Local Wi-Fi is listed for the boat. How well it works depends on where the boat is lying in the park, and we promise no speed and no steadiness. Better to treat the sea as somewhere to be offline and save the phone for the harbour.

Blanks in the brochure, and our refusal to fill them

Missing from the brochure: the build year, the size of the crew, the size of each cabin, whether there is a hair dryer or a mini fridge, and how long the fresh water lasts. It lists no bathtub and no balcony either, so we do not claim them.

You will find numbers for some of these on other listings. They are not printed in Gammara's 2026 brochure, and so they stay off this page. Nothing goes onto the site until the brochure, the boat or the booking team has put it in writing.

Ask. If one of these blanks would decide the booking for you, we will tell you before any deposit which points are confirmed and which are not.

FAQ

How many guests does Gammara carry, and will it feel quiet?

Gammara carries 12 guests in 6 cabins, two to a cabin. On a private charter only your party is aboard, so quiet is built in. On the open trip other guests share the lounge and deck. A party above 12 needs a second boat.

Is the bathroom private in every cabin, and is the shower hot?

All six cabins have their own en-suite bathroom with a hot and cold shower, plus air conditioning. Nothing in the brochure prints a bathtub, so we do not claim one. Cabin sizes are not printed either.

What can we do on deck besides eating and sleeping?

The social deck is listed for yoga, a BBQ on board, a movie night, gathering and a small private event. There is a paddle board, and snorkel gear and towels come with the boat. The dining lounge sits behind large windows.
