The boat has a crew, and the bookings have a team

Gammara Phinisi is one boat. It is also written as Gammara or as KLM Gammara, and all three names mean the same 30-metre phinisi with 6 cabins and room for 12 guests.

Its home port is Labuan Bajo, and it sails inside Komodo National Park on routes that start and end at the harbour there. The details of the hull, the cabins and the deck are on the vessel page and the cabins page, so we keep them out of this one.

This page answers a different question: who are the people behind the booking, and how do you check that they are real before you send a deposit.

The crew belongs to the boat. The captain, the cruise director and the rest of the crew are the boat's own, and we do not name them or count them here, because the brochure does not.

Our registration number is NIB 1805260128363, issued to PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia. It is the Indonesian business identity number, and you can ask us to show you the certificate that carries it before you pay anything.

There are three simple ways to check us. First, the NIB itself: ask for it, and compare the company name with the one on your quote and your payment instructions. Second, two official WhatsApp numbers, both listed here: the same chat carries every message about your trip, so nothing is promised somewhere you cannot find it. Third, the reviews page, which says what we have and have not been able to source.

We do not publish a founding year, a count of past guests or a star rating for Gammara. None of them is in the sources we hold, and we will not invent one.

If a payment instruction ever arrives from a name that does not match PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, stop and message us on the main chat before you send anything.

Once your deposit is in, we confirm your date in writing. From there the work divides.

We ask for the passport details needed for the park and the harbour, seven days before departure. We agree your meeting point and time. We settle the park package with you, which is never inside a boat price. The balance falls due 30 days before you sail.

The boat side takes over at the harbour. The captain and the crew welcome you and sail the route. If the weather moves a stop, the captain decides, and we explain the change to you in writing afterwards.

If anything goes wrong before you board, such as a delay, a change of flight or a doubt about the boat, message us and not the harbour. We hold the booking, and we answer in the chat hours shown on the contact page.
