Gammara Phinisi
The longest sample we publish: six days, five nights, one boat
Updated 3 November 2026
Komodo 6 days 5 nights on a private phinisi is the longest route we publish for Gammara Phinisi. The whole boat costs IDR 170,000,000 (≈ USD 10,429), or IDR 85,000,000 (≈ USD 5,215) each for two, and the beach dinner is included. 7D6N and 8D7N exist and are quoted in writing on request.
Six days, with Kalong's sunset shifted to day two
With six days the order shifts. On every shorter route, Kalong's sunset closes day 1; here it slides to day 2, which lets the first day start softly with Kelor and Manjarite and a night at anchor. The sample follows, and it is no more than a sample. Apart from Rinca, each stop also appears on the 3D2N route.
Day 1, Kelor and Manjarite. Day 2, Rinca, and sunset at Kalong. Day 3, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island. Day 4, the sandbank at Taka Makassar, Manta Point, and dinner on the beach. Day 5, Sebayur and Kanawa. Day 6, Labuan Bajo by morning.
We quote the 6D5N park package for your dates, and a guide or photo and video documentation if you ask. The real order is set by weather and tides. On a route this long the captain can swap a stop without losing it.

Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.
Day two: Rinca by morning, bats by dusk
Kalong sunset, November: 18:01. Bats follow about 15 minutes later.
The morning is Rinca, on foot behind a park ranger. Afterwards the boat crosses to Kalong, the mangrove islet between Komodo and Rinca, and the flying foxes rise in one long stream for half an hour or so. Nobody goes ashore; you watch from the deck.
With Kalong on day 2, the evening is no longer crammed in after a morning at the harbour. The captain chooses the anchorage for the night that follows. Clear sky, moon below the horizon: once the bats have gone, go up on deck. Lie back. The upper deck is the best seat on the boat once darkness settles, and there are only two of you to share it.
Day three: ridge, coral beach, dragon trail
The busy one. Padar at first light, 25 to 45 minutes up to the main viewpoint. Pink Beach next, snorkelling over reef just offshore, the sand tinted pale pink by fragments of red coral. Komodo Island to finish, with a ranger leading the walk.
By any standard that is a lot. Wear sturdy shoes on Padar and closed ones on Komodo.
The dragons are wild, and nobody can guarantee you will see one, on day 3 or on any day of any route. Take it slowly enough that nothing feels like a race. The boat waits for you, and the ranger decides the pace on the trail. Drink water between stops. By evening you will have earned a quiet night at anchor.
Rupiah for six days and five nights, two guests
Six days and five nights on the whole boat: IDR 170,000,000 (≈ USD 10,429). Being the one-to-six band, the two of you cover it all, IDR 85,000,000 (≈ USD 5,215) apiece, with nobody else on board and every cabin yours.
Measured against 5D4N at IDR 135,000,000 (≈ USD 8,282), the extra money buys a single day. Against 3D2N at IDR 73,000,000 (≈ USD 4,479), it buys three. You already have the beach dinner from 4D3N, so the longer route does not add it.
Left outside the price: the park package for your dates, a guide, photo or video documentation, alcoholic drinks, flights, hotels, insurance and crew tips. Figure checked on 3 November 2026.

Day four: sand-table dinner, slow morning after
On day 4 it is Taka Makassar, then Manta Point, then the beach dinner. The sandbank appears at low tide. At Manta Point you drift with a strong current, and nobody promises the mantas.
The crew set up dinner on the sand that evening. If you want decoration, a cake or a photographer, those are extras: we arrange them when asked and give you the price before adding them.
Day 5 starts late, deliberately. The shallows at Sebayur and the reef at Kanawa make it a day for swimming while the boat does the travelling. Nothing on the sample needs you up at dawn, so this is the morning for the paddle board. Day 6 means the harbour, in the morning; book your flights with that in mind.
Do two people need six days?
Not always, to be honest. For two people who want one walk a day and a dinner, six days is a long time. The classic stops fit in four. Five brings Rinca and some slack.
Six is for a couple who mean to do very little, or who have a month off and want a week of it at sea. It also suits a second honeymoon where the boat itself is the point of the trip.
If you are unsure, ask for 5D4N and 6D5N quotes side by side; one day separates them. We would sooner lose a booking by telling you five is plenty than keep one you regret by day five.
Who this boat suits
- A honeymoon couple who wants the whole boat, with the 1 to 6 guest price written down.
- Couples who want a king bed and an ocean view on the upper deck.
- A private trip of 4D3N or longer, with the beach dinner set up by the crew.
Who it does not suit
- A party of more than 12 guests; a second boat is needed.
- Anyone who needs a bathtub in the cabin or dependable internet at sea: no cabin has a bathtub, and the local Wi-Fi follows the boat's position, with no promised speed.
When this is the wrong boat
- You want to share the boat cheaply as one couple. The open trip sells cabins on Monday and Friday; the private price is for the whole boat.
- You have only one night. The shortest trip is 3D2N.
Writing the six days down together
Your first WhatsApp message needs three things: dates, number of guests, trip length. You will hear back with what is free and a quote in writing. A payment of 50 percent secures the date, and the rest falls due 30 days ahead of departure.
Prices for 7D6N and 8D7N are on the charter page, from the same 2026 rate card, and we plan those routes with you in writing. No more than twelve guests can sail; a bigger party means a second boat. We answer chat Daily 08:00–20:00 (WITA). If the boat cannot sail on your date, you get an equal or higher class phinisi on the same date at no extra charge, or a full refund. The money is normally back within 2 x 24 hours of the conditions being met.

FAQ
How many days should a honeymoon on the boat last?
3D2N is the minimum, and 4D3N is the first route with the beach dinner. Five days adds Rinca and a day of margin. Six days is long for two who want one hike a day. 7D6N and 8D7N are quoted in writing on request.
Is the sample route fixed, or can the days change?
It is a sample. The captain decides which stop comes first, with weather, tides and the park's rules, and the anchorage can change the same way. We send the route in writing once your date is held.
