The park fee for two, written out before you pay

Updated 3 November 2026

KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. Komodo National Park fee for two on Gammara is a package we quote per guest and trip type, never part of the boat price. The official ticket is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day. The package adds the ranger and local levies, and the quote shows each line before you pay.

The park package: what is bundled inside it

The park ticket is never inside a boat price. Not on a private charter, and not on an open trip. We quote it as a park package, per guest and per trip type, and the block below prints the package for 3D2N and 4D3N. For a foreign guest it is 650 thousand rupiah on 3D2N and 750 thousand on 4D3N; for an Indonesian guest it is 350 thousand on both.

Ours is the package, and the government's is the ticket. The government ticket is the entry fee set by regulation PP 36/2024: IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, IDR 50,000 for an Indonesian citizen on a weekday and IDR 75,000 at weekends and on public holidays. The package bundles that ticket with the ranger and the local levies, so that you pay one figure instead of several.

For 5D4N and longer the package is confirmed in your quote. It is quoted with your booking, on the same basis as the two above, and it lists every line that the printed ones list, so that you can compare them without a calculator. Fees are set by regulation and can change, so every quote carries the date it was checked.

One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest and paid on top of the boat price, unless your quote says it is included. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.

Two guests, three days: working out the fee

Take two guests and three days. Simple sums. The table counts one official ticket per guest for each day, and the calculator multiplies for you. It also shows what four and ten guests would pay, which is useful if another couple joins you.

The table shows the official ticket alone. It is a reference for the entry fee, not a price from us. A ranger is required on the walks on Komodo and Rinca, and your quote states how the ranger is covered. A harbour or local levy, if one is charged, is shown on the quote as a line of its own.

How many days you count depends on the days your route spends inside the park. Your quote counts them for your dates, so the figure you pay is one you can check line by line.

There is also a daily cap on visitors to the park. For July to September, write early and ask us for the date.

Costs the package leaves out

Plenty sits outside the package. Ask us before you pack a drone, for example. The park requires its own permit for one, with a fee for each day of flying. Commercial photography and film need their own permits too. Personal photos on a phone or a camera are free.

Other activities inside the park, such as diving or fishing, carry their own fees and rules. Gammara does not list dive equipment; diving is arranged separately. Park fees for children are not covered by a rate we can quote today, so confirm them on your quote.

Outside the boat price sit the park, the guide and the documentation on a private charter, alcoholic drinks, crew gratuities, flights, hotels and insurance. Nothing is added without a written quote.

The official fee for foreign visitors was unchanged when we last checked, on 3 November 2026. Check again before you book.

Paying: place and moment

Park tickets are bought online, in your name, against your passport. That is why we ask for your passport details seven days before boarding. The name on the ticket must match the passport you carry on the day. A misspelt name can hold up the whole boat at the pier.

Your quote states where and when the package is paid. We do not guess that here, because the arrangement can differ by trip. What we do say is firm: you receive the lines in writing first, and you receive the ticket in your name afterwards. Ask for the e-ticket if you want to see it.

Bring a little rupiah for tips and small purchases. There are cash machines in Labuan Bajo. There are none on the islands. Cards work at hotels and larger restaurants, and some add a surcharge. Small shops want cash.

FAQ

Is the park ticket inside the Gammara price?

No. The park ticket is never inside a boat price. We quote a park package per guest and trip type, bundling the ticket with the ranger and local levies, and we show each line in writing before you pay. The official ticket is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day.

Do we pay a ranger on top of the package?

A ranger is required on the walks on Komodo and Rinca. The package lists how the ranger is covered, and your quote confirms it. A levy that the package does not list is shown on the quote as a line of its own, and levies can change.

Can we ask to fly a drone in the park?

Ask us before you pack one. A drone needs a special park permit and a daily fee, and flying one without a permit is illegal. A drone is not part of any package, and a private charter does not include documentation. Ordinary photos on a phone or a camera are free.

Do children pay the park fee?

We cannot quote a child rate today, because the age thresholds for park entry are not in the sources we trust. Confirm park fees for children on your quote. Children aged 0 to 2 travel free on the boat, and from age 3 the full boat fare applies on the open trip.
